A New Frontier for Palawan Runners
History was made in the heart of Palawan as 64 strong participants gathered to face a monumental challenge: the first-ever Highland Loop 100 Ultramarathon. This wasn’t just another race, it was a grueling 101.6-kilometer ultramarathon with a staggering 1,687-meter elevation gain, designed to introduce Palaweños to the world of extreme running.
Organized by the visionary duo Ms. Lyka and Allen, the event was a testament to human endurance, willpower, and the rugged beauty of Palawan’s landscapes. The event featured two demanding categories: a Solo 100Km and a 2-Man Relay, ensuring a challenge for both individual endurance athletes and teams.
The course took runners on an unforgettable journey, starting and finishing at Irawan Terminal and looping through the majestic mountainscapes of Salakot Falls, the peaceful stretch of Napsan, the scenic Bacungan beaches, and the long, challenging roads of Magarwak. With the City Sports Director, Atty. Austria, gracing the opening ceremony, the atmosphere was electric and totally amazing.

Our mission was to provide the essential gear that would carry these athletes across the finish line. In total, we produced gear for 33 solo runners and 44 relay runners, alongside 40 T-shirts for the marshals and 65 custom string bags. For this demanding event, each athlete received a custom sublimation singlet, expertly crafted from running-grade fabric with a tailored fit for optimal performance. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Participants were highly satisfied with the gear, which held up perfectly during the grueling two-day event. The beautifully crafted, die-cast medals were another highlight, serving as a worthy token of an incredible achievement.

However, through constant coordination and teamwork with the event’s dedicated Run Organizers, we overcame this hurdle, making the process smooth and easy.
The event was a massive success, not just for the runners, but for the entire community. It helped discover the incredible strength of local athletes and showcased the stunning, often-unseen beauty of Palawan’s west coast. The support from the community was immense, proving that such activities can unite people and inspire greatness.
